Trent,

The 5.1 not being released as GA means quality is not yet up to high standards you should expect from MySQL. I'm happy it is this way though might be concerned it is taking so much time to work the bugs out. It would be much worse if it would be released with subpar quality as MySQL 5.0 was for example.

Hi Peter,

Just wondering if you had an in site word on whats going on with 5.1? Sun promised it from the end of Q2 though its still in RC. Most of the guys on the webinars say 'it will be ready when its done' though it just seems that like with community release 5.0 something's going on behind the scenes....

Regards,

Trent
