- Does PBXT use main thread to do the most of task like in InnoDB ?
- Does it support clustered index ?
- Does it support online backup and increment backup ?
- Page size in PBXT , and can this value be tuned ?
- The advantage in PBXT than InnoDB ? We do need two almost same functional storage engine, sometimes it makes user confused.

I think I remember reports that PBXT (at an early stage) out performed InnoDB with INSERTS and UPDATES (but not SELECTS). That would make PBXT very interesting for non-SELECT-intensive applications (finance, production management etc.) in my opinion.

So first question is: what is status here? Are there any recent benchmarks in this respect?

Also PBXT is very easy to handle for user as has very few configuration parameters. That could make it interesting for organisations with less internal IT-expertise. Actually I think PBXT is the only ENGINE that would make MySQL based solutions compete in the market segment (a huge one!) where SQL server dominates (InnoDB is too complex).

2nd question: any comment to that?

What’s the “ideal” use case for the PBXT engine?

When would I use PBXT instead of, say, myISAM or INNODB?
