Announcing Percona Server 5.5.20-24.1

Percona is glad to announce the release of Percona Server 5.5.20-24.1 on February 9th, 2012 (Downloads are available here and from the Percona Software Repositories).

Based on MySQL 5.5.20, including all the bug fixes in it, Percona Server 5.5.20-24.1 is now the current stable release in the 5.5 series. All of Percona ‘s software is open-source and free, all the details of the release can be found in the 5.5.20-24.1 milestone at Launchpad.

Stewart Smith is the Director of Software Architecture at Percona. He joined in 2011 with a deep background in database internals including MySQL, MySQL Cluster, Drizzle, InnoDB and HailDB. Stewart is one of the founding core developers of the Drizzle database server.

    It’s blocking us from upgrading to 5.5 from 5.0. We REALLY want to upgrade and use all the awesomeness in 5.5, but can’t :(

  2. Fixing bugs such as this is certainly something Percona can do – either part of a support contract or an individual engagement. From a quick glance at the bug it probably isn’t a huge amount of effort to fix…
